frequently asked questions
Wait…what is permanent jewelry, anyway?
Permanent jewelry, or forever jewelry, is a dainty everyday custom chain bracelet, necklace, ring or anklet without a clasp.
It is welded together on your wrist, neck or ankle.
These make great friendship bracelets for BFFs!
How long does permanent jewelry last?
As long as you want! Weeks, months, or years.
Please note, while the material used is meant for everyday wear, it is still dainty and is not indestructible.
What if I want to take it off?
No problem! Just cut the chain where it’s welded together with a pair of scissors to remove.
If you’d like us to turn it into a regular bracelet or anklet for you, you can bring it to a Gosia Meyer event and I will add a clasp for a $25 fee.
How much does it cost?
Depending on the chain style, bracelets range from $60-$120, anklets; 75-125, and necklaces range from $90-$160. Pricing is dependent on the chain style you select. Additional charms, custom initials and connectors are extra; $20-30 per each.
What material is used?
Available in 14K gold-filled, 14k rose gold-filled, sterling silver and yellow 14k solid gold.
Will I get flagged at the airport?
Traveling is not an issue here! Travelers can wear real gold or silver jewelry through airport security without any issues, and you will not be required to remove it during security screening. Lesser quality “costume” jewelry may trigger the alarm if it contains magnetic metals (i.e., iron, nickel, and cobalt).
What do I do if my chain breaks?
While these pieces are designed to withstand everyday wear, that doesn’t mean that they are unbreakable. If the jewelry gets caught on something the chain can snap. The chains are dainty so please be mindful and careful while going about your day.
If your chain breaks not at the weld spot there is a small fee to repair it or depending on the damage we would need to replace the chain. If the weld breaks we’re happy to repair the weld for free.
What if I need an MRI? Can I remove it?
You should not need to remove permanent jewelry even while traveling. If MRI is required or you would like to remove the jewelry, simply cut the jump-ring with scissors or nail clippers. Ask your doctor first, most often dainty chain is fine to leave it on. If you do have to remove it we can re-weld the jewelry if you would like for a small fee.
Can I purchase this as a gift?
Purchase a gift card – these can be redeemed for permanent jewelry!
